Why Computer Science?

For as long as I can remember I have been tinkering with computers. One of my earliest memories is crawling under the desks at my preschool to manually reset the computers when they would freeze, and ensure that all the wires were plugged into the correct place. 

Studying computer science has allowed me to expand my knowledge on not only the hardware of the computers but the actual programming that goes behind it. A computer science degree gives me the flexibility to go into a variety of different fields such as video game development, hardware engineering, IT, etc.

My fascination with computers only continues to grow as I gain the knowledge to explore more areas of the field. This year in particular I have been tinkering with soldering computer components, programming directly onto hardware and also CNC-ing my own PCB boards!
